Airport Cars has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy issues.
At Airport Cars, we are very committed to your privacy. Airport Cars will never exchange, sell, or release to a third party any of your individual personal information without your express permission, except as necessary and noted below.
The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices of Airport Cars.
Information we collect
When you visit our web site, your web browser transmits to our server(s) some basic information needed to complete your request: your IP address, the page you request, any parameters for the request, the browser you are using (including version and operating system,) and the page you are coming from. This information is used to serve your request for a web page, and some of it is then kept in our web server logs.
When you register to become a member of Airport Cars Club, we ask you to provide us with your name, your address, your email address, your drivers license number and state and expiration date, your home base airport, and your airmans certificate number and airmans ratings; in addition to the information we gather from all web site visitors. In addition we collect vehicle registration information such as the license number and expiration date; vehicle make, model, color, year and number of passengers; and vehicle insurance information such as the company, policy number, coverage amounts, expiration date and insurance company contact information. We keep all this information in an encrypted form in our systems but some legally required information will be printed on the vehicle information form.
When you reserve a vehicle, your user I.D. is noted as we give you the information needed to use the vehicle. This information is used to track total and individual vehicle use as well as determine who may be responsible for unreported vehicle damage, accidents, traffic violations or Airport Cars Club rules violations.
When you submit a report on the Airport Cars Club reporting page, we track vehicle condition reports, and vehicle condition ratings; owner and borrowers complaints and ratings; and any other information necessary to enforce the rules of Airport Cars Club and increase the functionality of Airportcarsclub.com. This information will be associated with the user IDs of those reporting and being reported.
When you submit user comments, we collect the information that you write in the comment and associate that information with your user ID, and the user ID of the member or vehicle being reported.
When you submit any other information over the web site, we receive and record the information you submit (such as business hours, comments, fuel price updates, etc.)
When you email us, in addition to the contents of your message, we collect your email address and the list of email servers that the message traversed on its way to us.
When you call us, in addition to the contents of your message, we may collect the telephone number you are calling from, using caller ID.
When you fax us, in addition to the contents of your message, we may collect your fax header information and the number you called from using caller ID.
When you write to us by mail, we may collect your return address and postmark date, in addition to the contents of your message.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies to improve your interactive experience, however; cookies are not required. If you disable cookies in your browser our site will still work, but with a less user-friendly interactive experience. We assign unique cookies to each session, to allow us to maintain memory between pages you visit to speed up your interactive sessions and prevent you from having to keep entering the same information. We also use cookies to allow us to remember you when you log in. We do not use cookies for any other purpose, and we do not exchange cookie information with any third party.

How we use the information
The Vehicle Information Form must be kept in the vehicle at all times and contains the vehicles owners name, vehicle registration and insurance information. This information is legally required to be kept in the vehicle. The vehicle owner may choose to share more contact information on the vehicle information form.
Airport Cars Club analyzes our web logs for trends, activity, most frequently requested pages, paths through the web site, etc. This helps us understand how our members use Airportcarsclub.com and how we can improve it to make it even easier to use. In some of our analysis we look at aggregate information, but other analysis such as vehicle usage numbers, rules infractions, user ratings, maintenance issues, accidents, etc. may by tied to your user ID. In no event will personal identifying information be sold, however; it may be necessary to transfer to a third party or other Airport Cars Club users information necessary to resolve issues arising out of accidents, maintenance issues, traffic or parking violations, rules infractions, etc. In these events only necessary information will be transferred to the involved third parties.
Airport Cars Club may need to contact you to inform you of an update made to your reservation or reservations made for your vehicle, for clarification on some submission you made, to reply to a message you sent us, or to solicit your assistance with some other issue. We will use the email address you submitted to us in our initial attempt to contact you, but we may also use your telephone number, home address or business address in our attempt to contact you.
From time to time, we may share with third parties aggregate information, such as how many visitors we get per day, or how many vehicle exchanges occur, number of miles driven, accident rates, insurance information, etc. Such information will not contain any personal identifying information.
We may make available to third parties information in bulk, such as lists of FBOs, lists of fuel prices, etc. We will never release addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or any other personal identifying information as part of any bulk data that we may release to a third party. We will never release personal identifying information about our registered users as part of any bulk data that that we may release to any third party.
We will disclose personal identifying information we may have in response to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
Our partners and affiliates
Airport Cars Club partners with third parties to provide some services and security over the web. We do not disclose your personal identifying information to these third parties, however; they may collect personal identifying information themselves.
